Great kit !!

Arrived quickly with great packing and organization labels. Includes all the BOM with (few extras), the hat was nice addition I could only get a glimpse of it before my kids snatch it away. Now time to start the build

Fun to put together

Pretty cool kit, I haven't fully assembled mine yet, but the parts shipped to me in the Plano box where of excellent quality, everything was in there except for one ecas fitting, which was easily acquired locally.

The one thing I would change with this kit is maybe some different colors of wire proved with the kit. Having all black in my case made extending the gearbox motor wires a tad more difficult.

All in all 10/10 would buy again, and will likely buy other things from DFH again.

The hat is actually a hat!

My kit arrived on 3/18 and I've used all the parts in my build except for the LEDs. Everything seems to be here so far. You need to provide your own wiring for motors and sensors, not a bid deal, but be aware of that. I counted only 12 RGBW LEDs instead of 14. I'm not sure if I need 14 yet or not. The storage has really helped with the build process. And the HAT!!! I'm wearing it all the time now, and my kids reactions are worth it! ;)

Hey! The first kits were packed during Rabbitgeddon ‘24. I may have missed a thing, or two. There should be wire and 14 LEDs. I just made an order for your missing parts. Should ship to you, Monday. Glad you liked the hat!

Great kit

Received my rabbit box today, I only had a few min to open it but the tool chest is awesome!! The parts are very throughly packed and the rabbit hat is a great touch (Kid already stole the hat, she says the popping up ear is another way to flip people off).

Looking forward to putting it all together.

Good, not great

I wrote a great essay on both the benefits and difficulties of this kit. No one will ever read it because the site decided I had taken too long and refreshed the listing for me. That is frustrating!
Summary:
Good: I was able to put it mostly together. Good hardware. Fun hat
Bad: The wiring for the the encoder is an EPIC failure. VCC,GND,Sgignal all need separate wires and colors to keep it straight. There is also no pin crimps for the encoder header pins. None of them fit. Am I supposed to solder the wires on?
If you order this make sure you have some dupont connectors and female crimp ends on hand along with a a few feet of colored sensor wire.
So now modifying their listing statement "All you need is this kit, your own amount of PTFE or FEP Tube and a control board... and Dupont connectors, and colored 28awg 3 color wire and the 3d printed plastic parts"

Thanks for the input. All kits will now ship with a jst connector on the probe.
